Tiraki turns Five
Five years since the name came to life.
Five years of trying, learning, laughing (and sometimes scrambling), and somehow growing something we’re really proud of.
What started with four friends and siblings around a kitchen table, after a few glasses of wine and a lot of big ideas, has grown into a global wine brand with a clear vision: to inspire connection with people and nature.
We’ve always said Tiraki was built on the idea of returning… to home, to what matters, and to each other. The name itself means the clearing of the sky, and for us, that still sums it all up: clarity, optimism, and fresh air (have you ever breathed in the cool air of a Spring Marlborough morning 😌).



- Launching our very first vintage (and wondering if anyone would buy it)
- Earning our B Corp certification. The first NZ wine brand to do so.
- Gaining distribution across Asia, Europe, and now the US
- Planting thousands of native trees and implementing organic vineyard practices
- Seeing Tiraki poured at events, on wine lists, and in homes all around the world
- Building something with our family, and gaining an honorary siblings along the way



We’re feeling incredibly grateful, for the people who believed in us early, for our distribution partners, for the restaurants and retailers who took a chance on a new name, and for everyone who’s raised a glass of Tiraki over the past five years.
